Hannibals March – EP 2009

This Hertfordshire / Essex hybrid metal outfit are sure to be noticed by labels sooner or later, because lets face it, they got more balls than Bring Me The Horizon, more melodic tunes than that of Dragonforce, more aggression than Hatebreed, lets summarise them, ‘fucking brutal East Anglian hybrid metal’, or wait a minute maybe this is better ‘True East Anglian Hybrid Metal’. Kicking off with Danny Star as a precursor to the amalgamation of ingenious musical layering and guttural growling, this song has it all: death metal, thrash metal, melodeath, deathrash, deathcore, Metalcore and hardcore, a concoction for ear brutalisation. Mass exodus is the start of this indoctrination of neurological slaying, prepare for the next song, ‘coward’. Fucking brutal drumming and technical metal bind together to create a mass of moshing milliseconds, with the drums and guitars playing together between 40 and 60 seconds, in a military style pattern, collaborating military drumming and metal together to make you imagine of ‘Hannibals March’.

Hannibals March, one of the promising acts from the cesspool of East Anglia, the East Anglians shall arise again, definitely one band to watch out for.
