Is this the First time did you guys come to Europe?
Yes.

And how feels like to be in Utrecht?
kind off,  we got to walk a little bit in the city. but tomorrow were already leaving, yesterday we were in London so it was a long drive.  I had a english breakfast there and it was fucking expensive! haha but it was very good!

I have noticed that you guys didn’t have a normal website, just a myspace, why did you  choose for only a myspace?
yeah that’s true. we don’t have a normal site because carnifex.com is owned by some asian kid, haha. but we want to get a own website soon but we are a bit lazy. and myspace is just a good site. most of all because u can listen to our music and that’s the important thing.

How is it like to work with Viktory Recordings?
its very good. They promote us very well, give us good budgets for video's en records. they followed us at al the big summer tours. its a good label.

in the beginning you didn’t had a record label, how was that like, touring a lot but not having a record label?
when we started touring we didn’t really had a label. we had a small label which I’m not gonna name but they didn’t do anything for us. we paid out own recording for the 1st album. and we never got tour support.

is it hard a to find a good label?
no, not really. its hard to find the right people who wants work together. that’s the biggest part. sometimes the label doesn’t want work with the band or they want work with the band but the management doesn’t wants work together. Viktory Recors never wanted us to change our music because this is why they signed us so we very satisfied.

How did you guys came to the name Carnifex?
we were sitting around trying to figure out a good name for our band. earlier that week I was with my friend Karin we were at my old band practice place and we saw someone’s homework with words and their explanations and we saw the word Carnifex and it means executioner. we googled it later and there was no one with this name! haha like that monster didn’t ever exist! so later when we sitting to think the name and my Karin said what about Carnifex? Yeah, so that was it! Carnifex is also an old english name.

I have heard that you guys have played like in a month almost every night! Weren’t you very exhausted ?                       
no were not, were touring now for like 2 years straight. with very little times off. we took a  little time off for making the last album. we are used to play every night. we had 2 weeks off  before starting the never say die tour. So after the first night my neck was very sore, haha we still have fourteen days left on this tour and after this tour we go to Moscow and St. Petersburg with Despised Icon. After that were taking December off and then were doing a week tour in Mexico.   

do you think the Europe audience is different then in the US?
Yeah, definitely! i love the Europe audience. American kids are spoiled because they have shows every night. here in the EU they don’t have a show like this every night. we toured US like 10 times back and forth and I can see the kids here have waiting for this show! what’s also nice here is that here in Europe there are no barricades except for the UK. for a show like this there barricades in US so its great you don’t have that so there will be a lot of crowd surfing tonight!   
           
what are the plans in the future?
yeah were filming stuff in Europe for a DVD, were have not really concrete plans but we want to make a DVD definitely. In December and January were gonna write a new album and get a demo/video out. Our last album we wrote in 4 weeks so that was in a very short time! so for our next album were gonna take some more time and with more quality. We’re starting recording in October 09 and the album will come out in January 2010. we will come back in Europe in months April May 09. we will be the support band of Beneath the Massacre and that will be a longer set then 20 minutes for us! hahah

And are you guys popular with the girls?
hahah, I don’t know. usually the girls are really scared of us!
